Wow! That's not good at all...

I was just reading (in a Dec 2011 Time magazine I think) about the state of Rhode Island having the same problem.  I didn't get to finish the article but it was interesting how they took bold moves and were able to cut it in half.

General Discussion / Re: Time For The Pre Buy

Historically, at least in the short amount of time I've been paying attention, oil prices tend to dip when a presidential election nears.  If I remember correctly Henry, you pre-purchased around this time of year back in 2008 and then the prices dropped significantly.  Of course, I understand the benefit and peace of mind of being able to know exactly what you'll need to spend.  I remember reading a quote a long time ago that said something like "never prepay for fuel in an election year".  Now granted, I don't actually expect it to dip much lower than it already is, I'm just adding my 2 cents :)

(I'll probably prebuy some too)

Wow! Congratulations!

(No, please don't move to Division 1... I'd be too torn with my high school being one of those)

You could also do a Google search.  I've found that to be very effective to check up on telemarketers, etc.

No, I'm sure Henry's site gets more traffic than Facebook! :D

This was a fund-raising run for Fairfax Rescue and Fairfax Parks & Rec.  We had a decent turnout considering it was our first year (about 80 participants)- but more importantly, everyone seemed to have fun!

Results are posted here:

Thanks for the photos Mary Kay! We had great weather and a decent turnout- about 80 runners!  Thank you to all the participants and volunteers that helped make this a success!

It's ok with me if BFP does away with free access- I get all my news from VTGRANDPA.COM!

Yes, 12 feet is acceptable.... The wider the better obviously, and I would recommend a bit more than that- 14'? But 12 isn't too bad if you already have your posts in.  Just keep in mind that if the gate is locked it could take longer for emergency crews to gain access.

Thanks for checking!

Cameras work well too.  I work from home fairly often and keep one handy. I write down vehicle plate numbers all the time, along with a description and date/time :)

Interesting- according to my nephew, "That same white jeep cherokee (97 age) was reported being seen in Jericho for break-ins too recently. Read it on the front porch forums."
