Vermont Food Ventures moved to NY? I thought they were going to somewhere in Lamoille County. That's too bad :/
I've always been a supporter of the government NOT being involved in private businesses. Although I have no examples, I suspect that the most (long term) successful businesses are the ones that had minimal government involvement- but that's just my own feeling. My opinion is that if you continually need outside influences (government "help", cash infusion from family, etc) to keep a business running then it's time to look for a new business. (but thanks to Chris and Carolyn for posting this information) 153

These are great ideas Nancy! The Rec Dept has talked about an ice rink and it come down to two things- the money to construct and maintain it, as well as volunteers to build and maintain it. The Rec Dept is always looking for volunteers- both for single events as well as long term. It sounds like you have some good ideas and if you would like to be involved with the Rec Dept please contact me- russelltrevor@hotmail.com

Actually I learned that coffee has NO import tariff- mostly because other than Hawaii it can't really be grown in the US.

What's the average life of a book? How many checkouts does a typical book survive?

I'd consider it, but I already have a commitment on Monday nights. Plus, I'm probably too sarcastic.
