Henry, I have a friend on North Road in Fletcher that sells sap. I think he said he has 10,000 taps, so I'm sure he gets some good runs.

I've been happy with Global Net. Although I typically only get 1.0-1.5 download speed, it's sufficient for me to work from home via a VPN connection, access the company network, and even use my internet-based "desk" phone through my computer. I've only had occasional drops in service and when I do, I just go Eastman's bakery for a break and it's fine when I get back!
Global Net has given me excellent service and tech support as well.

Cat, how do you always know when my wife is out of town and I'm left alone to fend for myself? LOL!

LOL, it's probably the smallest needle I've even been poked with. It literally hurt less than a mosquito bite. It's not like you're getting a tattoo or something!

Josh, did you get a rabies vaccination when you became Constable? I did in 2002. 6 years later when I had blood work done, I asked about it and still had an acceptable amount in case I were to be exposed. They said that it would probably be good for about 10 years

Just to be defiant, I moved my oil change sticker over four inches I moved it back. It bothered me. Plus, I didn't want Josh on my tail

Actually Scott, several motor vehicle laws don't apply to an on-duty officer (seatbelt, speeding), and that's probably one of them. Your kid is starting a bit early isn't she?

Rod, I wish I were still Constable. I'd pull you over just for fun Josh- He drives a big white van. Have fun with it.

I have two questions, sort of tax related. Contrary to some earlier posts, I'm actually serious! 1) Can anyone tell me approximately how much (percentage) of the state and federal gas tax is directly used for roads/transportation? I've heard that a majority of it- at least at the state level- just goes into the general fund. Is this true and if so, why? That's like taxing fast food, alcohol, or tobacco and not using it to fund health care. I've always thought that the tax should match the expense... 2) Why is Vermont opposed to toll booths? I have no problem paying a toll as long as the roads are maintained. While I'm at it, lets privatize those rest areas and let them earn some income, at least sales tax, for the state! Thanks, Trevor
