Judi, I'm sure the Select Board would be happy to accept any questions you in writing and will discuss them during a secret meeting.

Current News & Events / Re: Emergency Selectboard Meeting« on: December 10, 2013, 02:32:42 PM »
Thanks, it doesn't really matter to me what carrier we go with, I'm just curious why all the associated fees weren't looked at before a commitment was made.
Also, I didn't think a multi-year commitment could be made without voter approval. Does anyone know if this is the case? 63

Why would the Select Board decide to change suppliers without first looking at all the consequences? Was the current contract reviewed before deciding to no renew it? Shouldn't this have been discussed before it was decided to switch companies? What would the cost be to purchase the recycling bins? And does this really warrant an emergency meeting with no prior notice to residents?

I'm not up on my state statutes, but is there a way for the voters enact an ordinance as to when public meetings are allowed to occur? Remember- as long as the red tape is followed correctly the townspeople are the ones that ultimately have the final say, not the superintendent, school board, select board, town clerk, or any one person.

Political Issues/Comments / Re: Why did DHS purchase 1.6 BILLION rounds of ammunitions???« on: June 12, 2013, 08:48:36 AM »
That's ridiculous. Everyone knows .22 rounds are ineffective against zombies. I'm unclear on whether or not they're the choice round for aliens (perhaps that depends on the type of alien).
