anyone got a good mr ramsey story? mine was one day I was there with my dad on a nice spring day.........he just put fuel in his truck and we were by the door.........jeez I was like 6 or 7 years old when a car with quebec plate pulled up to the pump............mr ramsey and dad still chatted away..........about a minute later, the man driving the car got out, pointed to the gas pump, and reached into the car and blew the horn..........mr ramsey walked to just the outside of the garage, pointed at the guy and said "HEY", then gave him the finger, turned with his left hand pointed east and told him to get the **** out! LMAO! he was a classic, but if that person at the pump was your mom, a regular customer, or just someone who treated him with respect, you got that back two fold............I really loved mr ramsey and dicky bought his drill press, anvil, and quite a few other tools at his auction and we use all of that stuff today in my shop..............and I understand he was an excellent hockey player in his youth.

I am totally in favor of racial profiling if it concerns enforcement of state and/or federal law.

They were some of the hardest working, most honest people you would ever want to meet. A real example of how ethics and hard work can reward small business. My sympathies to the family.

Current News & Events / Re: A Little Glitch In TD Banks Online Banking This Week« on: October 03, 2009, 08:08:39 PM »
I usually make a deposit every day at the Enosburg branch and they all were accounted for, but some of the check I had written to pay bills on monday that I would have normally seen accepted by thursday did not come up until today. The ladies told me on wednesday that they were experiencing difficulties and to let them know right away if I had issues. I personally think they are an excellent lender and in on way shape of form they have taken though the years our business has had them since the Lamoille bank days. Furthermore TD (torono dominican) is one of only 5 Class A rated banks in Canada and with them as the pricipal, its a safe place for your money. In VT, we are most fortunate to have so many good lenders and the competition keeps all banks on their toes here. The FDIC closed 3 more banks nationwide this week, these are very scary times.
