Current News & Events / Cast your Ballot« on: September 26, 2016, 09:21:06 AM »Ballots for the General Election to be held on November 8th are now available at the Town Clerk’s office on Buck Hollow Road. Any registered voter can request a ballot by phone, mail or on line (clerk@fairfax-vt.gov). You may also cast your ballot at the town clerk’s office if you do not want to take it home. If you have questions about the process call the town office (849-6111). Not a registered voter yet? You may register at the town office between now and November 2nd at 5:00 pm. Again, call the town office for more information. Remember, every vote is important. 3

United Church of Fairfax holding annual fall rummage sale at the Baptist Bulding
Sale starts at 3:00 pm this afternoon (Friday) until 7:00 pm. Lots of nice things to choose from. Several Christmas items - good supply of young children's clothing. Tomorrow (Saturday) at 9:00 am our bag sale ($1 small bag - $3 large bag) starts until 2:00 pm 7

I hope that people will talk to their children about becoming part of the Boy Scout program here in town. Nick and the other leaders do a great job, and have a very exciting year of activities planned. Our town has a history of a strong Scouting program. I encourage people to consider becoming part of that tradition.

Kudos to the EGG RUN organizers and their team. Everything co-operated, including the weather (a little humid) and the event went very smoothly. We have a lot of talented and hard working people in town.

Carrie's funeral will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 am at the United Church of Fairfax. Reverend Walter Mahany will officiate. Burial at the Sanderson Corners Cemetery will follow the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Brady and Levesque Funeral Home in St. Albans.

To keep everyone safe the Sunday morning service at the United Church of Fairfax will be cancelled tomorrow.
The special Christmas music will be part of next week's service. Our Candlelight Service will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday evening. Everyone is welcome to attend. 14

The United Church of Fairfax (the church on the corner) has called Reverend Katherine Arthaud to be our permanent part-time pastor. Katherine lives in Charlotte and also serves as the pastor of the church in Westford. All are welcome to join us at 10:00 am each Sunday morning for our worship service and Sunday School.
