I am pleased to announce that my wife, Kelly Crawford, will be joining our business on a full-time basis starting next week.  She is currently accepting new cleaning/housekeeping clients and she also does interior painting projects, flower bed weeding and much, much more.  Please call us at 802-782-4159 or 802-782-4833 for more information or visit our new website at www.npmvt.com.  You can also like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/northernpropertymanagement.

Thank you for your continued support!

I heard that on Wednesday night there were personal plows out plowing Buck Hollow and Rood Mill so emergency vehicles could respond to a propane tank at a residence that was hit by a plow.  If this is true, I wonder why the Town plow truck was not available/able to help the Fire crew.  Also I know for a fact that personal plows were plowing up and down Buck Hill that night because it was impassable.  I have seen a difference in the road conditions in the past year or so.  Are there additional Town roads making the route more difficult to upkeep?

My friend, Daren Sizen, had his John Deere tractor stolen from his farm on Oakland Station Rd in Georgia sometime during the night last night. The tracks went through his field and through the woods and came out near the ABC store on Route 7 in Georgia where the track went cold. I'll post a picture as soon I get one from Daren and Laurie (Peck) Sizen. These are hardworking farmers who are originally from Fletcher/Fairfax so please lets spread the word in hopes of getting this important piece of machinery back to them. The last I knew the police were in debate over who has jurisdiction, so please contact Daren, Laurie or me on this site for now with any information. Thank you so much and please repost on your Facebook pages for me!
Thank you!

Noah will be so happy to see this!  He certainly has his Dad's work ethic.  He went from your house up to Alberta's to do some more Spring clean-up.  We were all over the place today.  Jeff was installing a hardwood floor and new kitchen in Underhill, I was painting for a wonderful family here in Town and Noah was out on Fletcher Rd....so much for vacation week for the Clokey/Crawford's!

Thank you Karen and Mary Kay!!  Your kind words mean the world to us.  Karen, you must be eager to use your new deck!!  Mary Kay, Jeff told me about your Dad's coffee table.  I am so glad Jeff was able to fix it for him.
Thanks again!

Political Issues/Comments / Re: S 32 (The Vermont Bill Against Guns)
« on: January 19, 2013, 12:47:07 PM »
Please tell me exactly how more laws (more pieces of paper) are going to help our country and protect my children and yours.  The people doing the killing are going to kill one way or another.  If they don't own a gun they'll steal one or go to the corner and buy one illegally.  Again, how is a piece of paper going to stop that?  Is the piece of paper going to stop illegal sales of guns?  NO!   And if they can't get a gun, they'll find another way to complete what they've set out to do.  Personally I am surprised that we have not seen car bombs and suicide attacks in the US.  We hear about them every day on the news, but surprisingly not here.  Exploring mental health issues is fine, but let's get people jobs so they can put food on the table, have a decent place to live and bring some morals back to this country. When you don't have a job, you can't provide for your family, your mental health state does diminish.  You may resort to drugs and alcohol to numb the feelings of failure, hunger, anger & more.  Video games have a similar affect on the mind.  You shoot and people get right back up or you can push reset and they are alive again.  Those sort of games also numb the senses when you play them all the time.   So, how are more laws and taking away guns going to solve the problem in our country?  It isn't.  In fact with the state of world in such turmoil it makes me want to go out and buy the biggest, baddest guns out there just so I'll be able to defend your family and mine....and yes, I'm I pretty damn good shot (for a girl).

Thor,
ALL very well said.  I have enjoyed reading your posts.  You are very educated and are putting to words what many of us want to say, but may not know exactly how to say it.  Thank you for that.  And to add you said you can't go into a gunfight with a hope & a prayer I guess we are supposed to go in with a piece of paper drawn up by politicians stating we can't have the right to defend or fight back.  This is very scary!

My 9 year old son and I had so much fun tonight at the Haunted House!  Good job to all that put this on!  I learned some Fairfax History during it.  I hope it becomes a Fairfax tradition!!!!  (p.s. he did hold my hand, but it is definately geared toward ALL ages!!!)

I know these are unapproved minutes, but I do think they mean the Langelier land off Buck Hollow...or is the Town looking to buy additional land on Fletcher Rd?

TOWN OF FAIRFAX
SELECTBOARD MEETING MINUTES
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2012
7:00 PM

Members Present: Bob Horr, Randy DeVine, Chris Santee, Tom Fontaine and David Shea.

Public Present: Skip Taylor, Ralph McNall, Colleen Steen, Slade Farnham, Al Zelley, Kelly Collins, Michele Dufresne and Nick Hibbard.

Bob Horr, Chair, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Skip Taylor, from the Town Office Committee, made a presentation on the estimated costs of the proposed new Town Office, discussed the Article(s) proposed and discussed mailings, flyers and public meetings.

The consensus of both boards was to “bundle” the land and construction costs together on the ballot.

A discussion to get voter approval for land sale on Fletcher Road for Town Meeting in March ensued.
