No report on how the moose is doing? Maybe the moose was rebelling against the permits that were drawn yesterday. I wonder if that guy was one of the people who won the moose lottery?

An independent audit is just a good business practice when the public is involved -- it gives everyone peace of mind. Even at CBP, the Federal government hires an independent auditor to review our collections every so many years.

Route 7 in Milton at the Park, just down from the dam and where Main Street meets Route 7, both lanes were covered with water this morning (about 6"). They put a "High Water" sign up but did not close it. I expect it will be closed tonight when I head home. So if you're headed into Milton via the Milton/Westford Road, you may want to detour on to railroad street.

Now that is what Vermont sugar maples should like this time of year. On my way to St. Albans every morning, I see these bright blue bags hanging on the trees or a blue tube running through the woods and it just doesn't look like it should. I realize for economic reasons, modernization is a must, but I love that some still keep the "old" ways.

I don't know if it was because of the holidays, but my daughter was up from Boston and we went a couple times (once for lunch, the other supper) and both times there were only a few people there. The food was really good both times: had the bbq pulled pork quesadilla and the sirloin steak for dinner. I definitely hope the traffic picks up for them and they succeed.

There were public meetings about the project over a year ago and Georgia and Milton residents were invited to attend them. It's not something that just happened overnight; it's been in the research and planning stages for quite some time now. I seem to remember Henry even posted a "mock" picture of what the mountain would look like with the windmills.

Milton has the new ATM as well. You do need to put your card in and remove it before any screen will come up. If you leave your card in the slot too long, the machine takes it as a security measure.

I went by them on my way home from work in St. Albans. I was wondering why there was 2 state police vehicles pulling over 1 car.

The menu looks awesome -- something for everyone. I always wondered how restaurants with such a large menu offering, can serve everything properly cooked, delicious and in a timely manner. I can barely time my breakfast at home so that everything is cooked at the same time.

Yesterday we broke another weather record according to WCAX-TV: 79 days (average 45 days) of temperatures 80 degrees or above for 2012. Today is suppose to go into the 80s as well making it 80 days above 80 degrees. We are just breaking those records all over the place in 2012.

How different the terrain is from Vermont. In looking at today's pictures, the first thought that came to me was, I would hate to have my car break down out there.
