The intersection of 104 and 105 is similar and it has a light. It would be nice to have something like that at this one, or at least a speed limit less than 50mph...

General Discussion / Safety of Intersection 104A/104

Hi Everyone,

I’m wondering if the safety of intersection 104A with 104 has ever been assessed. During rush hour traffic it can be intimidating to make a left hand turn from 104A onto 104 across traffic traveling at 50+mph in both directions. Although I’m not aware of accidents there, one at those speeds would be very detrimental. The issue worsens when people turning right double up next to you blocking your view of oncoming traffic.

This is my family’s daily commute and I would love for it to be safer.

In my research I came across this interesting report on the route 7 side of 104A: http://www.nrpcvt.com/Publications/Reports/TransportationPlansReports/GeorgiaScopingReportDraft.pdf

Does anyone know if this sort of analysis has ever been done for the 104 side?
