We're coming into the last two weeks before the Richard A Brown Scholarship Fund Benefit Dance. It's important that we let everyone know this is happening. Please pass the word along, urge people to go, organize car pools if you can...This will honor a good man of Fairfax and it will hopefully help students for years to come advance their education. Please Help. (Okay, I cut and pasted this from Facebook, but please try to be there.)
It looks like there are a lot of great silent auction items, and I know the dance part will be fun. So, I hope you can all be there, and wish I could be but I'm in Wyoming, so you all go have extra fun for me, k?! Love, Suzy

Is it the house where the Machia's used to live, or the one across the street that was owned by the church? Thanks, Suzy

Let's just bump this up to the top of the pile, and I'd like people to think about what they could possibly donate for the silent auction. This event is only about a month away, and the ball needs to get rolling. It looks like there have been some great items donated already, but we're on a scavenger hunt for donated items. I think a specific request was a gallon of maple syrup. Someone's gotta have that somewhere....
Thanks, hope you're having a beautiful spring day in VT!

Great photos! I remember one year, I was skiing over Sterling Pond from Smuggler's Notch Ski area back to Stowe. The Nat. Guard was lost up there. They didn't know how to get back to Stowe. I had a great time leading the troops to safety! it was funny to have them all following me!! (my only military experience) Have a great day Vermont! Looks like it's a pretty one from all the photos I saw of the sunrise today! Sooz

Thanks for what you said about Mr. Brown, Henry. He touched so many of our lives. I'm watching all my former classmates posing beautiful thoughtful stories and feelings about this man on Facebook. Margie Cain might have said it best, when she said BFA was our home, and Mr. Brown was our father. I certainly feel that my schoolmates are my siblings, and we are feeling his loss greatly.

I just want to echo what Brian and everyone else said. You did make good decisions for all of us. I remember getting in trouble in second grade. I wrote a note to Todd Wimble calling someone a "retard," or was involved with the note passing somehow. Anyway, I learned a valuable lesson that day in the Parish Center, and into my adulthood I become very upset when I hear people use the expression, "retarded." So, hopefully, because of your influence I have become a more sensitive and caring person. You were our cheerleader, and took interest in our lives, and the lives of our families, and you still do. Thank you so much for all you have done for our community!

Ummm...what does that mean? "Nice try!" Makes me suspicious, but i already voted in Wyoming, so it doesn't matter what I think. Although, it should matter what candidates think about issues, and why wouldn't they want people to know? Is there a big secret or something? Is there more to this story? If you wait until Wednesday, after the election, how can anyone make an informed decision? I would vote against you on purpose if you're holding out on me. But, as i said, I'm not voting there...
