MARION CHRISTINE WEATHERWAX COLCHESTER - Marion C. Weatherwax, 72, died unexpectedly on Sept. 14, 2010, while traveling to be with her daughter in Indiana. Marion was born in Burlington on July 26, 1938, daughter of Victor and Eleanor (Magoon) Garcia. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and the widow of Andy Weatherwax who predeceased her on July 13, 2003. She was also predeceased by two daughters, Sharon Eleanor Burbo in January 2008 and Elizabeth "Liz" Peterson in June 2008; a grandson, George Weatherwax; and her brother, Dennis Garcia. Marion was always a hard worker and very generous. She was there for her family and friends in times of need. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her young grandchildren and greatgrandchildren enjoying the simple things in life. Marion is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Sandra and Lee Baker of Cornish, N.H. and Christine and Rick Lindner of Linden, Ind.; a son and daughter-inlaw, Joseph and Nancy Weatherwax of Fairfax; a sister, Lilian Kirby of Burlington; her grandchildren, Jamie Baker, Andy Joe Weatherwax, Shane Burbo, Eric Burbo, Jesse Thompson, Victoria Chamberlin, Zachary Lindner, Luan Lindner, Nichole Lindner, Eleanor (Nora) Peterson; and numerous stepgrand- children. There will be a private family viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010 in the Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Home, 85 N. Winooski Ave., Burlington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010 in Holy Cross Church with interment to follow in New Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be a reception for family and friends at Marion's home following the burial service. Contributions in Marion's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society , Vt. Chapter, 55 Day Lane, Williston, VT 05495. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.
