A deadly motorcycle crash in St. Albans Town Wednesday night.

It happened on Jewel Street around 7p.m. Rescue crews say when they got to the scene they found a man trapped on his motorcycle and stuck in a house at the same time.

Police say it appears the man was going at a high rate of speed and did not realize he was on a dead end street, and lost control and crashed into the house.

The man's name has not been released.

I have learned this morning that this man had some close ties with a number of people in town.  I don't know his real name, but do know that he went by the name LW.

Officials say Lonas Mack, 49, of Cambridge, accelerated when he turned onto Jewell Street around 7 p.m. Wednesday. When he reached the end of the dead end road he lost control of his Harley Davidson and crashed into a house.

Rescue crews say when they got to the scene they found Mack trapped on his motorcycle and stuck in a house at the same time. He was rushed to the hospital where he died of his injuries.

"LW", as most would know him by, was a wonderful man.  He was full of kindness and had a heart of gold.  Thoughts and prayers to his family and the many friends he has.
