Well, after a long day at the polls and attending some All Souls Day Services at St. Lukes, I got home a little after 9 p.m. to find that the lights were still out.  I believe they went out somewhere around 4:30 and actually did not come back on until 11:20 p.m.

If you drove by and saw my car out in the driveway, it simply is because I did not have the energy left to get out and open my garage door manually.  Fortunately I had no place to go this morning as there would have been plenty of scraping to get the frost off the windows.

I did not start my generator as they at first said that the power would be back on around 6 p.m., however, they kept updating the time throughout the evening and the last estimate was 11:30 p.m.

I think if they had come back with a later estimate, I would have started up my generator as when the temperature in the house got down to 62 degrees, I was feeling a little chilly.

By the way, here it is 9:30 and there is still frost on my windows of the car.  Kind of a message to let us know what is to come.
