The big storm that buried much of the North Country under a blanket of heavy snow is moving quickly away from the northeast.  We'll still see a few lingering snow showers today, mainly in the higher elevations to the north.  There will be a dusting to 2" more snow.

Friday will be a quiet day, although there will be lots of clouds around.

A clipper system will move in from the Great Lakes region on Saturday with a round of light snow which will last into Sunday.  We could get a few more inches of snow out of that clipper.

Martin Luther King Day on Monday will feature some sunshine, but chilly temperatures, with highs in the upper teens and low 20s.

And we are monitoring yet another possible big storm for next Tuesday and Wednesday.  This next storm will have warmer air in it than yesterday's storm, and that means there could be sleet, rain and freezing rain mixed in with snow.  We will narrow down how this storm will affect us over the next few days.

Here are some snow amounts from Wednesday's storm:

Wilmington: 36"

Woodford: 35"

Brattleboro: 19"

Jeffersonville: 16"

Bennington: 15"

Cambridge: 14"

Cornwall: 13.3"

Morrisville: 12.5"

Jericho: 10.3"

Burlington: 9.8"

Newport 6.5"

Enosburg Falls: 2"
