EUNICE (ADAMS) BLOUIN

Eunice was also related to several other former Fairfax Area residents, Mildred & Calvin Carpenter and Murial & Dick Lavoie

ENOSBURG FALLS - Eunice (Adams) Blouin, 73, passed away at Our Lady of the Meadows Community Care Home in Richford on Oct. 25, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sutton, N.H. on Sept. 2, 1938, the daughter of the late Leslie and Clara (Dunham) Adams. Eunice was a 1956 graduate of Enosburg Falls High School. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she had served as a Catechism teacher. She also volunteered her time for ten years on the Enosburgh Ambulance Service and more recently at the Enosburg Falls Food Shelf as well as the Tuesday Soup Kitchen at the Dairy Center to benefit the food shelf, the Meals-on-Wheels program, and the Day for Mom Program at the Dairy Center while the local National Guard was deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and painting and belonged to various card clubs. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing and playing softball. Most importantly she loved to watch and support her grandchildren in their sports endeavors. She is survived by her children, Beth Anne Higgins and her husband Michael of Pollock Pines, Calif., Aaron Blouin and his partner Sharon and her daughter Autumn of Morrisville, N.C., Matthew Blouin of Madison, Wis., and Damian Blouin and his wife Susan of Enosburg Falls; her beloved grandchildren, (Beth Anne's) Damian, Rachel, Mariah, Jared and Naomi, (Aaron's) Joel and his partner Karina and Emily, (Damian's) Calin, Derek and Carter; her great-grandson, Trenton; her siblings and their spouses, Sherman and Leona Adams of Fairfax, Florence "Flossie" and Gene Powers, of Northport, Fla., James and Janice Adams of Fairfield, Mildred and Calvin Carpenter of Fairfield, Carroll "Jed" Adams of Franklin, Leslie Adams of Pequea, Pa., Murial and Richard Lavoie of Johnson, Franklin "Cookie" and Mary Adams of Richford, and Priscilla and Arnold Haydu of Bethel, Conn.; a special sister-inlaw, Susie Adams of Richford; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Eunice was predeceased by her sister, Irene Adams; and her sister-in-law, Jeanne Adams. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 222 Missisquoi St., Enosburg Falls with Rev. Roger Charbonneau officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in the Sheldon Village Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
