MARION WEBB

FAIRFAX — Marion (Leach) Webb, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, in Redstone Villa Nursing Home in St. Albans. She was born on July 29, 1918, in New Haven, daughter of the late Howard and Edith (Buck) Leach. Marion was married on June 3, 1939, to the late S. William Webb in the Baptist Church in Fairfax. Marion loved to read and in her younger years she was quite an accomplished seamstress. Marion loved her grandchildren and always enjoyed spending time with them. She is survived by her four daughters: Pauline Lavallee and husband Paul of Fairfax, Wanda Nichols and husband John of Clarksville, Ga., Shirley Stevens of San Diego, Calif., Martha Webb of Bellingham, Wash.; her brother, Lawrence Leach of St. Albans; a sister-in-law, Frena Phillips and husband William of Westford two brothers-in-law, J. Douglas Webb and Orman Ovitt, both of Fairfax; six grandchildren, David Shepardson, Douglas Shepardson, Pamela Morgan and husband Dana “Butch“ Morgan, John Nichols and wife Stacy, Timothy Hurlbut and wife Alex, Jeffrey Hurlbut Webb; four great-grandchildren: Sandra Nichols, Ryan Bohley, Mason Nichols, Madison Nichols; five step-grandchildren, Tom Lavallee and wife Rose, David Lavallee and wife Lydia, Carol Graves and husband Michael, Nancy Benoit and husband John, George Lavallee; four step-greatgrandchildren, Amanda, Christopher, Thomas, Jennifer; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her sister, Ruth Ellsworth; and two grandchildren, Dean Shepardson and Reginald Nichols. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the A. W. Rich Funeral Home - Fairfax Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 10:30 a.m. in the United Church of Fairfax with the Rev. Elizabeth Griffin officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the family lot in Fairfax Plains Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Marion's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Vermont & New Hampshire Chapter, 172 N. Main St., Barre, VT 05641-4124, or to the United Church of Fairfax, c/o Sally Sweet, 44 Sweet/Slattery Road, East Fairfield, VT 05448. Arrangements are by John D. Workman, A. W.
