Our Grand Knight Jim Hogan from our Local Knights of Columbus Council announces:

The winners in our local Knights of Columbus District Free Throw Competition who competed in St. Albans today were:

Josh Powers - 10 year old boys
Zach Wood - 11 year old boys
Miranda Gillilan - 12 year old girls
Cody Gonzalez - 12 year old boys
Maureen McGuinness - 13 year old girls
Zach Gross - 13 year old boys
Keith Rabideau - 14 year old boys

This group of winners moved on to the next level, the Districts which were held today in St. Albans at the City Hall.  Due to a conflict Keith Rabideau was unable to compete at this level.  His spot was filled by Alex DuRaps, the runner up at the Council level.  Moving on to the States in Newport will be, Zach Wood who nailed 24 of his 25 shots from the line, Zach Gross with 17 of his 25 going in, and Alex Duraps who tied with another 14 year old.  Alex then went on to hit the five out of the five free throws for the shoot out, walking away victorious.

The three Fairfax winners today are pictured below with others from the area who will compete in Newport on March 18th.  Because of their ages I have not identified them.
