I just heard that a body was found in St. Albans City Pool. Has anyone heard anything more about this.

City police say the body has been tentatively identified, and family notified, but are not releasing the victim's name at the request of the State Police. Facebook posts by friends and family of Chris Davis, indicate he is the victim.

PRESS RELEASE
St. Albans Police Department

On 4/17/2012 at approximately 1:20 p.m. the St. Albans Police Department responded to the City Swimming Pool for a reported body floating in the water. Investigators determined that the body was that of a young, white, adult male.

An autopsy was conducted today by the Medical Examiner’s Office and the identity of the male has been confirmed to be Chris Davis, age 22 of Swanton.

Today’s autopsy results were inconclusive and further test and examinations will continue. In the meantime Detectives from the St. Albans Police Department and the Vermont State Police continue to conduct interviews with family members, friends, acquaintances and witnesses.

Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to call the St. Albans Police Department @ 802-524-2166.
