St. Albans - Lois H. Loller, 78, a longtime area resident passed away late Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the Birchwood Terrace Healthcare with her family at her side. She was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on May 1, 1928, the daughter of the late Ralph and Florence (Gross) Hubbers. On June 2, 1955 in Waterbury, Connecticut, Lois married George R. Loller, who preceded her in death on April 4, 1999.

Lois was a member of the Goodwill Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Waterbury, Connecticut and the Alice Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Cheshire, Connecticut. George and Lois were avid campers and travelers and were members of the National Camping Travelers Association; Connecticut 1, Chapter # 6 and Vermont Chapter # 78. She also was an avid sewer and loved to be outdoors.

Survivors include her two sons and their wives, Jon C.R. and Patricia Loller of Georgia and Jeffrey R. and Winnie Loller of Fairfax, four grandsons, Aaron, Ian, Dylan and Cameron, several close friends, her golden retriever, “Lance” and her grand golden retrievers, “Ben” and “Jerri”.

Lois’ family was especially grateful to the compassionate team on staff at Birchwood Terrace Healthcare for their unlimited generosity of kindness and devotion.

Funeral services will be held this spring at the family lot in St. Albans Bay Cemetery at a time to be announced. There will be no visitation. With Lois’ love for animals, her family asks that contributions in her memory be sent to the Franklin County Humane Society, 30 Sunset Meadows, St. Albans, Vermont 05478. Assisting Lois’ family is the Heald Funeral Home of St. Albans. Messages of condolence to Lois’ family are welcome at www.healdfuneralhome.com.
