St. Albans police are searching this morning for the man who tried to rob a grocery store overnight.
 
Police say at about 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, they responded to the South Main Grocery, where a cashier told them a man brandished a knife and demanded money. The cashier refused, and the man fled.
 
Police say he's about 5-foot-5 with a thin build, and may have had a cast on his left arm. He was wearing a sweatshirt with a skeleton on it that zipped up in the front.

Call police if you have any information.
