The area of rt 15 in Cambridge by the Industrial Park is currently closed due to a tractor trailer unit that has jack knifed in the roadway. Commuters are urged to seek alternate routes at this time, crews are working on setting up detours at Allen Irish rd in Westford and the intersection of rt 104 and rt 15. More information will be provided when it comes in.

DESCRIPTION OF VEHICLE: Tractor Trailer Unit carrying empty propane tank

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE: No damage

 

INJURIES

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On the above date and time State Police responded to a tractor trailer that had gone off of the roadway and was blocking both lanes of travel on Vermont Route 15 in the Town of Cambridge. The operator was identified as Nicko Halil. The tractor trailer is owned by Hiltz Propane Systems and was carrying an empty propane container at the time of the incident. There were no reported injuries. The roadway was closed for approximately 2 hours and traffic was detoured down Allen Irish Road and Vermont Route 104. The roadway was reopened to the flow of traffic at approximately 6:22 pm. DMV Traffic Enforcement, Jericho/Underhill Fire Department and Cambridge Fire Department all responded to the scene.
