Barbara A. (Bruley) Gaudette

St. Albans - Barbara Ann (Bruley) Gaudette, 82, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at St. Albans Health and Rehab in St. Albans. She was born on November 14, 1932, daughter of the late Stephen and Ellen (Arpin) Bruley.

Barbara was a long time Avon lady starting her career on foot walking door to door, until she got her drivers license at age 40. She loved people and activities; she was on a bowling league and loved cards and games. Most of all she loved her family, especially the grand and great grand children. Even in her last weeks, struggling with Alzheimer's she was able to recognize her grandson, Davey, and had a smile for him. She was a wonderful positive person and she will be truly missed.

She is survived by her children son David Gaudette and wife Jessica of Fairfield,
daughter Betty Jean Baker and husband William of Phoenix, AZ; two siblings David Bruley and Arlene Gaudette both of St. Albans; seven grandchildren: Anna, Magen, Justin, Abbey, Jen, Jessica, Davey, Daniel and two great grandchildren Jack and Mary.

She was also predeceased by her husband Ernest Gaudette and daughter Mary Ellen Young.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at A W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel, 1176 Main Street, Fairfax, VT 05454. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Church, Fairfax with Reverend Henry Furman officiating. A reception will follow at David Gaudette’s home in Fairfield. Burial will be in the spring in the family lot in St. Luke Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Barbara’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association VT Chapter, 300 Corner Stone Drive Suite 128, Williston, VT 05495. The family invites you to share your memories and condolences by visiting www.awrfh.com.
