Looking for Road Maintenance Bids

The Lawton Road Association is now accepting bids for road maintenance for the 2015/2016 season. We are in need of a contractor that can grade the road several times throughout the summer season and plow the road for the winter.

Requirements are as follows

Summer - May 1 to October 14

~Grade entire length of road early in season as weather allows typically in May
~Grade road up to Button Road in July
~Grade entire length of road later in season to prepare for winter typically in October
~As requested by the Association on a needed basis(the hill sometimes needs a little extra upkeep)

Winter - October 15 to April 30

~Provide sand & snow removal services when it snows 3" or more, plowing the entire length of Lawton Rd to the cul-de-sac.
~Sand the areas at the intersections with adjoining roads along Lawton Road and the hill at the beginning of Lawton Road each visit.
~Sand the entire length of Lawton Road as conditions require(icing or hard pack slick snow)
~Plow in front of mailboxes.
~If banks along roadway become too tall, contractor is responsible for push back of banks.
~As requested by the Association
~Plowing shall be completed by 5am on a day snow falls 3" or greater

There are 4 additional side roads that are accessed via Lawton Road, these roads ARE NOT part of this bid request, the request is for Lawton Road ONLY.

Bids are due in a sealed envelope on April 1st 2015
the outside of the envelope shall be marked "sealed bid"

The bids will be opened and reviewed at the Association meeting to be held in April.
