ST. ALBANS - At their recent Volunteer Recognition event, Franklin Courity Home Health Agency thanked all volunteers for their work caring for hospice clients and their families as well as providing valuable administrative work for the program.
Hospice volunteer Linda Tracy of Fairfax was awarded the Ed Eaton Make a Difference Award in recognition of her contributions to the Agency. This award, named in memory of long-time volunteer and former board member Ed Eaton, is given to an Agency volunteer whose work makes a difference in our Agency and community.
"Linda is very involved in her community with friends and family both in Canada and here," said Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Nancy Dulude. "She is always willing to go anywhere at any time, including overnight with clients and families.
She is connected to so many people. Even when the family or Linda thinks they do not know one another, by the end of the visit, they have found they have a connection. Hospice is all about building relationships and Linda is able to do that very well."
The following volunteers were recognized for reaching milestones in their service hours:
• Bob and Kathy Bessette and Ellen Holmes-Henry of Fairfax; Carol Boissonneault, Loretta Wood, Cathy Hickory; and Will Boyd of St. Albans, Alicia Guilford of Jeffersonville; Paul Hatch of Enosburg Falls; Heather
Skilling of Richford; Libby Norris of Sheldon; and Louise LaBombard of Swanton, 100 hours
