Name Of 7 Year Old Fatality Released In Fairfield

Police say Grady Howrigan, 7, died Friday following a tractor accident on the Fairfield farm.

State police tell Channel 3 News that a 911 call brought first responders to the fields off 6844 Route 36 just after 1 p.m. Friday.

Investigators say the little boy was riding in the cab of a tractor with his father, Luke Howrigan, 38.

Police say the manure tanker it was hauling flipped on the steep terrain, and the tractor followed.
 
Luke Howrigan was was initially trapped, but he was able to break free.

He was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.

The young boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
