June M Dodge of Fairfax, age 90 passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Homestead Senior Living in St. Albans Vermont. She was born August 21,1932 in Sheldon, Vt to Lyle Clapper and Hazel (Mayo) Clapper.

She was predeceased by her husband Clark F. Dodge of Jeffersonville, Vt. They were married in April of 1973 together they enjoyed antiques, travel and maple sugaring. They had a shared love for history and were actively involved in preserving the history of their family and their town.

She leaves behind her children Donna Westover of Fairfax, Vt, Susan Roberts and her husband Michael of Riceville, TN, Steven Maxfield and his wife Phyllis of Essex Jct. Vt, Bruce Maxfield and his wife Carol of Johnson, Vt as well as 3 Stepsons, Clark Dodge and his wife Pamela of Charlotte, Vt, Thomas Dodge and his wife Cathy of Danville, Vt and Steven Dodge of North Carolina, also many nieces, nephews, cousins and close family friends.

She will be greatly missed by her 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren. She is predeceased by one grandchild. She will be remembered by all with fond memories for all the time, guidance, laughter and love that she instilled in them.

The family would like to thank the staff of Homestead Senior Living, Dr. Donald Miller, Bayada Home Health, the staff at Northwestern Hospital and UVM Hospital for all their support and care throughout the last months. A special thank you to Caroline Burt of St. Albans, Vt, June’s niece for all of her love and support during this trying time.

Per June’s wishes there will be a small service held on Monday November 21, 2022 at the United Church of Fairfax located at 8 Fletcher Rd, Fairfax, VT 05454. Calling hours will begin at 1:00 with a memorial service at 2:00. A small reception will be held following the service on location. Committal services will be held at a future date for family only.
