The Last Mowing - The First Heavy Frost

Hi All,

Well, with the heavy frost this morning and the temperatures in the 20s I can see where yesterday, that Vermonter instinct, like the birds flying South took over, as the unidentified individual below with kerchief and jacket and gloves rides the lawnmower around her lawn for what she hopes is the last time in 2007:

That 1st picture has a REAL tree in it!
That tree is insane.

We got "dusted" 2 weeks ago but no real snowfall amount yet.

I'll snap a few pics of the mountains around here,,,, you would expect we are buried with snow.

I need to ask, why would you want to cut the grass prior to frost and snow?

Love the light on the lawn and corn!  Gorgeous!  We had snow on the ground yesterday morning here in Jackson, WY.  It's still dark out, but I looked out the window, and it's fresh snow again today!  We've had snow in the mountains for a few weeks now, but it's encroaching on the valley! 
Where did summer go???!!!  I want it back...just two more months of August would be fine!
