Robert Amos, Jr. October 6, 1977 — April 15, 2024 Fairfax Robert “Robbie” Amos Jr., 46 of Fairfax passed away unexpectedly on Monday April 15th, 2024. Robbie was born on October 6, 1977, in Burlington VT to Robert Amos Sr. and Deborah Amos. Robbie graduated from Bellows Free Academy in Fairfax in 1996 where he excelled in both soccer and baseball earning him recognition as a profound athlete. After high school Robbie worked alongside his father Robert Amos Sr. at Bob’s Auto Service, becoming owner after his father’s passing to carry on his legacy.
Robbie’s most important treasures were his children that he cherished beyond measure. His favorite past times included the moments he spent with his kids, fishing at the falls, hunting the circ, gazing at the stars, playing catch, pet shopping, catching fireflies; the list is endless!
Robbie leaves behind his mother Deborah Amos of Milton, ex-wife and forever friend Jessica Amos of Fairfax, his son Austin Amos of Burlington, and daughters Ellie and Lana Amos of Fairfax. He also leaves behind his siblings, William Superneau of Fairfax, Kathy Tourville (Jerry) of South Hero, Richard Superneau of Colchester, mother-in law Mary Amour (Marty), brother-in-law Scott Rushford and sister-in-law Dawn Superneau, Aunt Deanna and family, Aunt Lorie, and Uncle Louis. He also leaves behind nieces Cassidy and Paige Superneau and nephew Colby Tourville in addition to lifetime friends and extended family David and Val French along with their children Landon and Kelly French who Robbie considered siblings. Beloved friends and neighbors, Ann and Mark Lemieux, Nick Lemieux, Bob Russell, Kathy and Dale Laperle, Jaclyn and Brian Lemaire, Matt Jewett, Dan Place, Bob Russell, Chris Sanders, and Mason Young. Robbie had so many friends and loyal customers that held a place in his heart that are too many to list but please know you were all special to him.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 24th at Minor Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Milton from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A private burial will be held the following day with immediate family only. He will be buried alongside his dad in Mt. View Cemetery in Essex Center.
