The calendar year of 2007 was the snowiest on record, according to the National Weather Service in South Burlington. Usually, the rankings are done in seasons, and the snow season runs from July 1 to June 30. But if you measure it from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2007 was the top year, with 131.6 inches of snow.
