Last night about 8:45 I saw Blue Lights flashing as a Police Car?? came speeding down the Fletcher Road - Turned on the police frequencies on my scanner, but couldn't get what was going on, so turned it off - Later I heard there was an accident somewhere around the area but heard no ambulance from Fairfax - Channel 3 carried the following this morning which may have been it:

Suspect Sought After Wild Police Chase

Georgia, Vermont - January 25, 2008

A dramatic end to a police chase through Franklin County Friday morning.

It started in St. Albans city and ended on Bronson Road in Georgia, when the driver wrapped his car around a tree. Police say a city officer tried to pull over the driver. A chase went on for several miles until the suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed. He then took off on foot.

"We have every reason to believe he's uninjured. They tracked him for a long distance toward Georgia Shore. But they lost the trail down by the bay," said St. Albans Police Chief Garry Taylor.

Police used K-9s to search the area for a few hours, but could not locate the suspect. They still have not been able to identify him either.
