1. Monday, January 28, 2008, (in Australian ballot towns), nominating petitions for Town offices must be filed with the clerk of the municipality no later than 5:00PM. (sixth Monday before the election). A nominating petition must be signed by 30 voters or one percent of the legal voters, whichever is less. 17 V.S.A. § 2681 (a) and (b).
