Speaking of the Red Sox playing in Tokyo, when I look at the world time, if they start playing ball at 6 a.m. here in Fairfax, it is 7 p.m. in Tokyo, however, is it 7 p.m. last night or 7 p.m. tonight.  The place I looked only gave the times, not the date.

Since the day starts at the International Date Line that runs vertical down through the Pacific Ocean, I'm guessing it's 7pm tonight.
All Formula 1 races run Sunday afternoons. Those over in Australia, or Malaysia, or Japan, are shown here LIVE in the midddle of the night-Saturday night/Sunday morning. Thus it would make sense that the evening over there would be early morning here.
So, technically, 11:01am today here is 12:01am tomorrow morning there.
I think I know what I'm talking about. Does everyone else understand?

they are ahead of us so if the game is at 6am here today - it is 7pm there the same day.

I don't believe Japan observes Daylight Savings. Most of the countries in Asia do not. I actually have people that work for me in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and they do not observe daylight savings there either. Half the year they are 13 hours ahead and the rest of the year they are only 12 hours ahead.

One web site I found about Daylight Savings, said Japan used to observe daylight savings while the US occupied the country, but they did away with it in 1952.
