Elaine DeLorme's Mother, Maxine Mallow, Passes Away

MAXINE MALLOW ESSEX JUNCTION — Maxine Helen (Pratt) Mallow, 88, a former resident of Jericho, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, in Fletcher Allen Health Care following a brief illness. She had presently been a resident of Whitcomb Woods in Essex Junction. Maxine was born in Burlington on Aug. 15, 1919, the daughter of Arthur G. and Uronia (Willard) Pratt. She married Howard Mallow in July 1939. He predeceased his wife in 1989. Maxine was employed at IBM for 20 years prior to her retirement. She is survived by her son, Gerald Mallow of Jericho, her daughter, Elaine Delorme of Fairfax, numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; her two brothers, Frederick J. Pratt of Essex Junction and Gary Pratt of Colchester; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on May 13 at 11 a.m. in Pleasantview Cemetery, Jericho. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Essex Rescue Inc., 1 Educational Drive, Essex Juntion, VT 05452. Arrangements are in care of Gifford Funeral Home, 22 Depot St., Richmond.
