I Thought All Yellow Eye Beans Came From Maine

Well, for several weeks now, I have been going from store to store looking for Yellow Eye Beans to make some Baked Beans only to be told there is a shortage and none are available.  Well, the other day on my way home from St. Albans, decided I would drive down Route 7 through Georgia Center, where the ladies there make some great Maple Flavored Baked Beans and figured they just might have some.  Stopped in and sure enough they do, but their Yellow Eye Beans don't come from Maine, they come from right here in North Hero and bear the Vermont Made Sticker.  Beautiful beans too, I might add.  The lady there told me that someone had come in that morning and bought 20 bags of them.  Don't know why our local stores only seem to carry the Maine Yellow Eye Beans??
