Donald J. Dupont - Father Of Dawn Passes Away At 71

JENSEN BEACH, Fla. / BURLINGTON — Donald J. Dupont, 71, passed away July 15, 2008, after a lingering illness. Donald was born in Burlington on August 22, 1936, graduated from Burlington High School, and moved to the Jensen Beach area 11 years ago. He owned and operated Emile Dupont & Sons Roofing until his retirement. He served as a board member and president of the Oceana II N Association. Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Jensen Beach; daughters, Dawn Dupont of Fairfax, Debbie Dike of Leicester, and Doran Lawrence of Isle La Motte; son David Dupont of South Burlington; stepsons Matthew Durant of Jamaica Plains, Mass., and Benjamin Durant of Williston; brother Gerald Dupont of Burlington and sister Theresa Arnold of Gantt, Ala.; 14 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by the mother of his children, Nancy Terry Dupont on February 10, 2006, and his parents, Emile and Ruth (Gonyo) Dupont.
