International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:BM) said it reached a deal to provide high-speed Internet service to rural areas using existing power lines.  Vermont Electric Coop had talked about that a number of years ago and last week I saw something in the Business Section of The Burlington Free Press.  There is an article on the Internet, however, don't think it is going to be an immediate thing.  Knowing IBM as I do, I suspect if they set their minds to it, they can do it:
