ALINE LUCIENNE RUTH (THIBAULT) BERNARD

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. / COLCHESTER - Aline Lucienne Ruth (Thibault) Bernard died in San Bernardino, Calif., on Dec. 17, 2008, of inflammatory breast cancer, with her family by her side. In Vermont, she graduated from Cathedral High School in 1958. She met and married the love of her life, Richard in 1963, and they managed the roller skating rink, Skateland in Williston, and owned and operated Silver Ridge Roller Skating, where people everywhere came to enjoy the familystyle atmosphere. In 1979, she and her husband, along with their two daughters, Lorie and Judith, moved to San Bernardino, Calif. Her professional career as Senior Vice President of Operations in the banking industry was marked with many achievements and accomplishments, and she leaves behind many professional and personal friends. Aline is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard Bernard; two daughters and their husbands, Lorie and James Eklund of San Bernardino, Judith and Richard Kaiser of San Diego; her beloved cat Linus; her family in Vermont and New York; her two sisters Therese and Joseph Bourgeois, Jeannette Martin and friend Richard Blow; her six brothers Edmond, Sylva and Brenda (Bessette), Raymond and Gloria (Fuller), Robert and Yvonne (Brodeur), Leonard and Dorothy (Fuller), Romeo and Monica (Laroche); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church on Dec. 27, 2008, at 11 a.m. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to Redlands Community Hospital Hospice (350 Terracina Blvd., Redlands, CA 92373) so they may continue to do their remarkable work in aiding and comforting families, as they have assisted ours. Please send online condolences to dickajgm@yahoo.com .
