Winooski High School In Lockdown Earlier Between 3 & 3:30 P.M

Winooski High School was put on lockdown not long before 3 p.m. Tuesday after a student threatened to kill another student, according to Winooski police.

The lockdown was lifted by 3:30 p.m. when the the student who made the threat was located, police said.

Police said they knew the student who made the threat had access to guns, which is why they decided to put the school on lockdown.

No one was allowed to enter or exit the building during the lockdown and armed police officers were manning all entrances to the building throughout the lockdown.
