Pictures of the Day July 12, 2009You can see rain north of the Maplefields in Fair Haven. On Rt. 22A south of Vergennes, it was clearing off to the west.BACK HOME AGAINPosted for Sunday July 12th.........................We had stopped for lunch at a place in Otega, Otego, something like that, some 32 miles east of Elmira, when Anthony got the phone call that the races at Woodhull were cancelled.
Bugger.
Got home about 7:30. We got a sprinkle near Vermont, but never really hit rain until we were between Maplefields in Fair Haven and Devil's Bowl Speedway just up a few miles up the road. By the time we got to Vergennes, you could see it was clearing off over the Adirondack Mountains in New York.
When I got home, I see we had gotten 7/10ths of an inch of rain, so in a sense the rain beat us home.
Autodrome Edelweiss next Friday. Unless they have free wireless internet at the track, I will not be able to do updates from the track.
The Fairfax Historical Society Museum will be open Sunday from 2-4pm.
