Well, I did end up finishing my lawn last night after being delayed by one of our all too often "Scattered Showers" around 3 p.m.

Went out to get my paper this morning and sure is tough breathing out there as the air is very heavy.  I plan to go down to Burlington to visit a friend of mine in a Burlington Nursing Home.  They must have air conditioning there, hopefully.  Not a great weekend expected, however, no "Hurricane Bill."

We're back in the muggy weather again, with showers and thunderstorms likely, especially this afternoon.  Some thunderstorms could contain heavy downpours, and there may be the potential for flash flooding in spots.

A front will keep Hurricane Bill out to sea, but Bill will also keep the front stalled in our area over the weekend.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms will persist Saturday and Sunday.  Conditions will improve Monday, with just a morning shower or two.

I don't know who is getting the showers/T-storms, but they sure aren't  here in the northwest corner--just the humidity all day and all night! It's usually cooling down by this time in August, leaves are starting to turn yellow nights cool off quickly, mornings are almost fall like. This August has been like July and July was as rainy as April, what does this mean for September/October?
