So. Burlington - Michael John Brunelle, 52, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at his home, following a valiant battle with Pancreatic Cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
 
Michael was born on October 21, 1956 in Burlington, the son of Donald and Elizabeth ( Courchaine ) Brunelle.
 
Mike was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all.
 
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Marine Corp.
 
He worked in the auto industry for over twenty years. He was a manager in the parts department at Almartin Volvo since 2001.
 
Mike was a man of many passions. He loved fast cars and was a devoted NASCAR and Formula One fan. Music was in his soul. He loved all genres especially jazz. Music came to life when he played his drums. He was a creative cook. He enjoyed trying new recipes and spicing them up with his own touches. He was famous for his chili, hot wings, and salt mixture.
 
Mike also, enjoyed taking road trips, exploring Vermont's covered bridges, watching football and fishing with his brother and son.
 
On August 25, 2001, he married Lori Boissoneault in Milton.
 
In addition to Lori, he is survived by his son Joshua and wife Samantha and their children Kira & Alexis, his brother Stephen Brunelle and wife Faye, his father and mother in law Giles and Carol Boissoneault of St. Albans, his brother and sister in laws Jay and Cathy Boissoneault of Georgia and Eric and Colleen Boissoneault of Roberts, WI, and by 6 nieces and nephews.
 
He was predeceased by his parents, sister in law Amy Boissoneault in 2002 and his beloved cat Autumn.
 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday September 21, 2009 at 10 am in St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Fairfax with burial following in St. Luke’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to either: the Victory Junction Gang Camp, Victory Junction, 4500 Adam’s Way, Randleman, NC. 27317 or to the Vermont Cancer Society, 55 Day Lane, Williston, VT 05495.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 5-8pm in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton. Online condolences may be made to www.minorfh.com
