Park and Ride

Just wondering if anyone know why they closed the park and ride at the end of McNall Rd.?

A. The McNall Road /Route 104 commuter parking area has become a dumping ground and hangout. A letter will be sent to Randy Reed at VTrans requesting the State either maintain or close this area down to public.

I know people like to blame the "teenagers" in cases like this but I noticed someone dumped a bunch of 5 gallon pails a few weeks ago there. SOmeone that doesn't live in fairfax I'm sure. I live on McNall Rd and I didn't see to much loitering <sp> either.

You might check out the parking lot off river road if you want to see drug activity. Many times I see 2 cars with teenagers inside and when I approach in my car they speed off.  They use to use the Fairfax Auto parking lot but it has quieted down since we have been leaving the outside lights on.  It wouldn't hurt to have regular patrols of River rd by the police, I haven't seen anyone in this area in months, the last time I did it was in the middle of the day!

Yes, I have also seen the same people also use that pull off on river road Judi.  The state police and drug task force have been notified about both locations and I also try to make a presence in those locations to deter people from loitering.
