Duane Lamott and his chocolate lab, Hunter, were rescued after their duck-hunting boat filled with water on Arrowhead Mountain Lake. Another hunter in the boat, Jim Perry, couldn't find Lamott or Hunter after the boat went under.
Lamott made it to a nearby house, owned by John Martel, which became the staging ground for a search. Lamott was rescued after falling out of the boat, but they couldn't find Hunter.
After an evening in the water and temperatures at freezing, the family had feared the worst until the phone call came in that crews had found Lamott and Hunter.
