I would like to share this note with all of you that I just received from Carol Lizotte:
"Hi Henry
Just thought I'd drop you a note that excitement is building for the seventh annual Fairfax Egg Run & Walk. This Saturday August 5th at 9am, over 300 race participants will be bounding down Huntville Road for a 10K run, 5K run or 5K walk. All race participants and volunteers can enjoy the free food and omelet bar at the finish as well as a random giveaway of prizes that include kayak rentals, hotel overnights, bash badge, many gift certificates, maple syrup and more.
Anyone interested can pickup registration forms around town (the library, etc.), online
www.allmotionfitness.com/eggrun, or register at St. Luke's Friday night 6-7pm or Saturday morning 8-8:50am. Parking is at BFA Fairfax school parking lot with a free shuttle bus transportation to St. Lukes Church.
We send special thanks to St. Luke's Church for allowing use of the church and church grounds for this seventh annual race. With River Road closed for bridge work and our race route shifted to Huntville Road, we were blessed to have been welcomed by St. Luke's to use the church facilities for our race headquarters. Thank You! Also thank you in advance, to all the residents on and off of Huntville Road, for their patience and cooperation this upcoming Saturday morning.
For those not inclined to race, we are still looking for volunteers to help setup tents Friday night, be road marshalls on route Saturday morning, work the finish line and help out with traffic. If you are interested in volunteering, please call Carol at 827-9723 or cal100@educert.com . Anyone not participating or volunteering in the race, feel free to come along and cheer the racers along. Onlookers can take advantage of our food tent for $5 each which would include one pass through in the omelet line.
Hope to see you Saturday!
