VERMONT STATE POLICE
PRESS RELEASE
12/01/10        2050hrs.

The Vermont State Police-St. Albans are urging the public to find alternate routes for Cleary Road and Allen Irish Road in the town of Fairfax. High winds and blowing rain caused some large trees to fall into the roadway while taking down power lines. In this area, some power poles were snapped multiple times under the weight of the falling trees. It is not known how long it will take to remove the large trees from the power lines.
