I wonder why they ran off towards the VAST trail instead of back to the road.........Hmmmmmmm

Doesn't seem to be much damage to the car for as far off the road it is.  Hope they are all ok.

It's easy to figure out why the run for the hills...Rescue has been called to an abandoned MVA before, a passerby didn't know when it had happened. We turned up no one, but I happened to accidentally find out weeks (maybe months) later what/who/why. It was clear why the vehicle rolled over and was abandoned by the occupant. All was ok, however.

To travel that far would have to mean that the operator was traveling at an extremely high rate of speed.  By the frost on the windows my guess is that the vehicle was left there overnight.  It will be interesting if the operator is found and charged with leaving a scene of an accident.

It was pretty cold last night.  I would think you would walk in as "straight a line as possible" to someplace warm so you could call the police to report what happened.  Which is probably what they did with the exception of calling the police.

Am I missing something? I don't see skid marks in the road or the snow, whoever it was must have been flying.
