Ernie was one of the instructors when the Fairfax Fire Department held the Essentials of Firefighting class in the early '90s. I was one of his students.
He also played in the Fairfax-Fletcher-Westford Band when they moved back to Fairfax.
He was also involved with the BFA Alumni Association a few years ago.
Ernie was a good man. He will be missed.
