Our contracts were up with our cell phone carrier so I researched options.

We both had Blackberry Curves. They required a monthly cell phone plan plus a data plan. I don't wanna tell ya what we were paying for that.............

I am a Google freak, you may know that..

I chose the Motorola Droid X for us with the Android Life plan.

I manage all of my contacts via my GMAIL account, apps are seriously crazy out there, easy to manage screens.

The phone takes 720p video and has and 8 mega-pixel camera.
It plays back in 720p also.

Mini HDMI out.... 6 GBs of onboard memory, RESPONSIVE touch screen, etc ...

The ONLY draw back is, that I need to get used to the touch screen when sending txt or emails....I like my keys!!!

I am touchy feely!

Also, its is WIFI. I can hit a WIFI anywhere and get blazing speed better than my 3G phone service.

When I get a good video, I'll upload to YouTube and send ya'll the link!

I love the Droid X but I currently have the Droid 2 and really love it as well.  Good products and a ton of apps!

Use the included swype keyboard on the Droid x. There is a reason that the last two times the guiness world record for texting speed was set using swype.

Both my wife and I use swype on our two droids. She could not live without it.

I tried the swipe and failed.
Sausage fingers I guess.

I love the voice SMS and e-mail though.

I say cuss words into and it cracks me up!

I'll be in 7th grade sometime soon, maybe.

Mike, when you speak those words, does it display "####" ?  I've heard that it'll do that.  Also, the default settings don't autocorrect those words either so you need to "teach" it.  Same with southern words- Mine had trouble with "Y'all".  Great phone otherwise!
