Has anyone heard any update as to the state finishing RT128 rebuilding/repaving?

Someone here stated last year it was planned for 2012

thanks

I think most of the state-funded road projects got put on indefinite hold to focus on Irene issues.  I suspect that everything will get re-prioritized.  They did a decent job on the first section though!

It WOULD be nice to have that awesome frost dip taken care of in the northbound lane as you go through the pass though :)

I believe that Irene is also the reason funds for Main Street to be paved was put on hold as well.  I DO wish they would fill the huge whole across from Jordan Hayes' house.  That bugger can eat up my car tires!

This was just being discussed on the Westford Front Porch Forum last week.
Here's the posting from Westford/Essex Rep Martha Heath:

"This is the response I got from the Secretary of the Agency of Transportation when I inquired about Route 128 as a result of the posts I was reading on Front Porch Forum:  A paving project for the rest of 128 is scheduled for next year.  Short-term fixes will be applied as soon as the asphalt plants open (April/May).  No Irene connection.  Mostly a matter of money for paving not going as far as it used to due to high oil prices.

You can refer people to kevin.marshia@state.vt.us for a more complete explanation of future plans."
