Victor J. N. St. Cyr Hyde Park - Victor Joseph Noel St. Cyr, 68, passed away at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington on Sunday April 15, 2012. He was born in Hartford, CT on December 8, 1943 son of the late Joseph Albert Victor and Cecile (Germain) St. Cyr.
Victor graduated from Cambridge High School in 1962. In 1993 he married Marjorie Paulin and they resided in Hyde Park for 20 years.
Victor was an incredibly honorable man with a very gentle spirit. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Victor was a building contractor for over 50 years. He learned the trade from working with his father and then for John Alsheimer until branching out on his own. He took pride in every job regardless of size. Because he so loved the building trade, he spent a lifetime putting his heart and soul into becoming a master builder and craftsman.
His greatest love in life was his wife Marge, his children, his grandchildren and building relationships with new friends. He and Marge spent some of their greatest times vacationing in warm climates, shopping in North Conway, NH and long weekends in Maine at all times of the year. Their love for one another was easy, unique and an inspiration to many.
His love for people gained him a reputation of integrity, honesty and fairness which was evident in the number of his repeat customers. His love for life and his sense of humor could not be surpassed and he was happiest when he could make someone laugh or brighten their day.
Victor came to love the Lord and in the last two weeks before he died, he had traded his fear for His peace.
He will be deeply, deeply missed by his family and his many friends.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie (Paulin) St. Cyr of Hyde Park; two sons: Daniel Victor St. Cyr and wife Cara of Cambridge; Andrew St. Cyr and fiancée Sylvia of San Diego, CA; four daughters: Christal Noel Clark and husband Randy of Jericho; Shannon St. Cyr and David Reen of Jeffersonville; Monique Rich and husband Eric of Cary, NC; Jaime St. Cyr of Jeffersonville; six brothers Richard of Ballston Spa, NY; Paul of Gulf Port, MS; David of Manchester, NH and companion Pauline St. Hilaire; George and fiancé Sandi Smith of Carson, NV; Louie and wife Diane of Jericho; Roger and wife Maggie of St. Albans; his sister Stella St. Cyr of Berlin Turnpike, CT; a brother-in-law Lee Paulin and wife Jane of Middlesex; Mother-in-law Ruth Paulin of Morrisville; Fifteen grandchildren: Katelyn; Shayne; Josh; Taylor; Jacob; Cole; Gioja; Parker; Chloe; Tyson; Mason; Lily Matea; Peyton; Ohana; Kaydence; the mother of his children Linda McNally St. Cyr; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
